Dear Freedom,
My appreciation for you is refreshed. How I long to savour again the possibilities that you give me.
You were yet again taken away from me. This time not by an authoritarian regime. But somehow by myself. Like many others I keep myself and my little family in isolation, to avoid contracting the disease.
It may have been, and may still be, the right thing to do. But I now understand how much I miss every single part of you. I understand why it was relatively easy for me to put you aside—because I have much experience of being without you.
Dear Freedom, thank you for enlightening me, for letting me hear life that goes on in the street. Thank you for teaching me to choose the way that I want to live.
